Interactive App Teaches Road Safety to Students (Grades 1-12)

We at DSS are excited to introduce an innovative, interactive app designed to help students from grades 1 to 12 develop essential road safety skills. Created in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the State Agency Road Safety, this app takes a fresh approach to teaching road safety, making it accessible, engaging, and age-appropriate.

DSS has also been involved in various innovative educational projects, such as revolutionising teacher allocation systems and developing modern remote assessment tools for Bulgarian schools.

Age-Specific Learning Sections

Grades 1-4: Learning Through Play

The youngest learners are introduced to the basics of road safety through a fun and educational game. Following the route to school of a little friend called Foxy, they learn how to safely cross streets, recognise road signs, and behave responsibly near traffic in a way that feels like play, not a lesson.

Grades 5-7: Real-Life Scenarios

Students in middle school face more advanced challenges. This section uses real-life scenarios and thought-provoking questions to encourage critical thinking and decision-making. Whether it's about cycling safety, navigating busy streets, or understanding how to interact with other road users, this part of the app helps students apply what they've learned in practical situations.

Grades 8-12: Advanced Skills and Awareness

High school students tackle more complex scenarios that reflect real-world challenges. From identifying potential risks on the road to understanding how weather and traffic conditions affect safety, this section is designed to prepare them for the responsibilities of being active participants in traffic - whether as pedestrians, cyclists, or future drivers.

Why it Stands Out ?

What makes this app truly special is its interactive design. Each category is packed with animations, sound effects (for the youngest), and instant feedback that keeps students engaged and helps them learn from their mistakes. It's not just about memorising rules - it's about building skills and confidence in a dynamic and fun way.

Developed in Collaboration with Experts

Created in close partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science and the State Agency "Road Safety", this application meets high educational standards and is adapted to the needs of students. It is suitable for both classroom use and home learning, making it a valuable resource for teachers, parents, and students.

This initiative continues DSS’s dedication to enhancing educational resources, as demonstrated by our previous projects such as eLearn - a comprehensive web repository for Bulgarian schools.

A Step Towards a Safer Future

The interactive application for acquiring and developing road safety skills is not just an educational tool - it's an investment in the safety of our children. With its help, they gain knowledge and skills that will help them move safely and responsibly.

At DSS, we continue to drive innovation in the educational sector through cutting-edge software solutions. Whether it’s enhancing remote learning, improving resource accessibility, or developing tailored applications, our expertise is here to help.
