<p style="margin-left:0px;">This year has been a tough one for everyone, and with Christmas just around the corner, we wanted to find a way to spread some holiday cheer and show our gratitude to all employees. We decided to hold a small Christmas party in the office, following all of the COVID-19 safety procedures, of course. Government restrictions were still in effect, but we decided to allow employees to join the party without having to get a Covid certificate.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">We did our best to make the party festive and fun, despite the circumstances. We ordered X-mas Company packages for all of our employees, filled with eco-friendly presents and items bought from non-profit foundations. Some of them were zero-waste items, and others were for a charity cause. We also organised a lottery and did a Secret Santa-style exchange of presents. And, of course, no party would be complete without some traditional Bulgarian banitsa!</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">Everyone had a great time, and we're already looking forward to next year's party. Hopefully, by then, things will be back to normal so that we can celebrate together as usual.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">Merry Christmas to all of our clients and partners! We hope next year brings us wonderful opportunities to spend time together.</p>

<p style="margin-left:0px;">Тази година беше трудна за всички и тъй като Коледа е съвсем близо, искахме да намерим начин да разпространим празнично настроение и да покажем благодарността си към всички служители. Решихме да организираме малко коледно парти в офиса, като, разбира се, спазихме всички процедури за безопасност, свързани с пандемията от COVID-19. Правителствените ограничения все още бяха в сила, но решихме да дадем възможност на служителите да се присъединят към празненството, без да е необходимо да представят сертификат за ваксинация.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">Направихме всичко възможно, за да бъде партито празнично и незабравимо въпреки обстоятелствата. Поръчахме коледни пакети за всички наши служители, пълни с екологични подаръци и артикули, закупени от фондации с нестопанска цел. Някои от тях бяха с нулев отпадък, други бяха с благотворителна цел. Също така организирахме лотария и си разменихме подаръци в стил "Тайният Дядо Коледа". И, разбира се, никое парти не би било пълно без традиционна българска баница!</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">Всички се забавляваха и вече очакваме с нетърпение следващото ни събиране догодина. Надяваме се, че дотогава нещата ще се нормализират, за да можем да празнуваме заедно както обикновено.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">Весела Коледа на всички наши клиенти и партньори! Надяваме се, че следващата година ще ни донесе прекрасни възможности да прекарваме време заедно.</p>

<p style="margin-left:0px;">We are pleased to announce that our trainee programme in partnership with the Technical University was a great success! A total of 17 students participated in the programme, resulting in 6 new hires. The programme was conducted in several stages during which senior company experts evaluated the trainees. The best of them were exempted from exams due to their excellent results. We are confident that these new additions to our team will be a valuable asset to our company.</p><h2 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>The DSS Trainee Programme</strong></h2><p style="margin-left:0px;">The DSS Trainee Programme is a two-month programme designed to foster the next generation of engineers and CTOs. It is run in partnership with the Technical University, and it is open to all students who meet the minimum requirements.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">During the first month of the programme, trainees went through a general introduction to technologies that are little covered in the university course. That gave them a chance to explore new technologies and learn about different aspects of programming. At the end of the first month, trainees were employed full-time in their chosen department.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">During the second month of the programme, the trainees received special mentoring from a senior engineer and the opportunity to work on real projects and gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art technology. At the end of this period, interns received a certificate from DSS for successfully completing the internship programme.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">We are incredibly proud to be able to offer this programme to talented students who are looking for an opportunity to kick-start their careers in software engineering or IT consultancy.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">We would like to again congratulate our DSS trainees on their successful completion of the programme. В програмата участваха общо 17 студенти, а 6 от тях бяха назначени в DSS. Програмата се проведе на няколко етапа, по време на които стажантите бяха оценявани от старши експерти на компанията. Най-добрите от тях бяха освободени от изпити поради отличните си резултати. В края на първия месец стажантите бяха наети на пълен работен ден в избрания от тях отдел.</p><p>През втория месец от програмата стажантите получиха специално менторство от старши инженер от компанията и възможност да работят по реални проекти и да придобият практически опит с най-съвременните технологии. <p style="margin-left:0px;">We are excited to announce that DSS has launched a trainee programme in partnership with the Technical University of Sofia (TU Sofia). The trainee programme will consist of several different stages and will continue from 2 weeks to 2 months for selected trainees. The program aims to support students with different learning practices and technologies that are little covered in the university course of study, as well as to attract and train future staff of the company.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">We look forward to this new trainee programme and what it means for the future of technology. By supporting students and providing them with opportunities to learn about cutting-edge technologies, we're helping to shape the next generation of IT professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity for students who want to get ahead in their careers and learn all about custom software development. It's also an excellent way for DSS to identify talented individuals who could become future employees.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">We're looking forward to working with TU Sofia on this programme and hope that it will spark students’ interest and help them find their passion.</p>

Програмата има за цел да обучи студентите на различни учебни практики и технологии, които са по-слабо застъпени в университетския курс на обучение, както и да привлече бъдещите служители в компанията.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">Очакваме с нетърпение тази нова стажантска програма и всички млади таланти, които ще се включат към нея. Подкрепяйки студентите и предоставяйки им възможности да се запознаят с най-съвременните технологии, ние помагаме да се формира следващото поколение ИТ специалисти. <h2 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>Overview</strong></h2><p style="margin-left:0px;">We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new software platform, <a href="https://edu-teachers.mon.bg/"><strong>QPDPS</strong></a> (Qualification for Professional Development of Pedagogical Specialists), designed to help pedagogical specialists qualify for programs for professional development. The platform was built under <strong>Project BG05M2OP001-2.010-0001 Qualification for Professional Development of Pedagogical Specialists </strong>for the Ministry of Education and Science<strong>. </strong>It enabled teachers and companies providing professional development programs to connect, track professional development and manage paperwork for participation and funding. Teachers can choose from a pool of professional development programs, register for them, and receive certificates upon completion. We believe that this software helped improve the quality of education by making it easier for teachers to access quality qualification programs.</p><h2 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>Project Scope</strong></h2><p style="margin-left:0px;">The project scope was the development of a new software platform that would be easy to use for teachers while also providing the necessary data tracking and analysis for the Ministry of Education and Science.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">The platform should be an essential touchpoint for the Ministry of Education and Science, teachers, and companies with professional development programs. Teachers should be able to choose a program, register for it, sign a contract, and receive a certificate on the platform. All participants’ presence and absence should be tracked on the platform as well.</p><h2 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>The Challenge</strong></h2><p style="margin-left:0px;">The biggest challenge was the difference in the computer literacy of teachers, which meant that the user interface had to be simple yet effective. In addition, the data migration from the old system to the new one was a complex task that required extraordinary attention to detail.</p><h2 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>The Result</strong></h2><p style="margin-left:0px;">The project was successfully launched in Bulgaria beginning of March 2021, increasing the number of qualified teachers and ultimately enhancing educational outcomes in collaboration with the European Union operational program.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">The project was a success thanks to the concerted efforts of all parties involved. Присъствието и отсъствието на всички участници също трябваше да се проследява в платформата.</p><h2 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>Предизвикателство</strong></h2><p style="margin-left:0px;">Най-голямото предизвикателство беше разликата в компютърната грамотност на учителите, което означаваше, че потребителският интерфейс трябваше да бъде прост, но ефективен. Освен това миграцията на данните от старата към новата система беше сложна задача, изискваща голямо внимание към детайлите.</p><h2 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>Резултат</strong></h2><p style="margin-left:0px;">Проектът стартира успешно в България в началото на март 2021 г., увеличавайки броя на квалифицираните учители и подобрявайки образователните резултати в сътрудничество с оперативната програма на Европейския съюз.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">Проектът е успешен благодарение на съгласуваните усилия на всички участващи страни. It's hard to believe that it's been three whole years since we first opened doors, but time flies when you're having fun! We've come a long way during this period, and we're looking forward to serving our community for many more years to come.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">Today is also our General Manager's birthday! Mr Plamen Nakov has been with us since day one as an absolutely invaluable member of our team. We couldn't have made it this far without him, and we're so grateful to have him on board. Join us in wishing Plamen a happy birthday!</p><h2 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>It all started with an idea...</strong></h2><p style="margin-left:0px;">3 years ago, our founder had a vision for a new kind of software company - one that would be entirely focused on the needs of its customers and delivering exceptional customer service within a reasonable time frame. With that idea, DSS was born.&nbsp;</p><h2 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>Three years of serving the community</strong></h2><p style="margin-left:0px;">DSS first opened its doors on 14<sup>th</sup> August 2017. At the time, we were just a tiny startup with big dreams. We had a great team and a well-designed product, but we didn't know if we could make it in such a competitive market. Thankfully, our fantastic clients gave us a chance, and we've been thriving ever since!</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">Since then, we've grown by leaps and bounds. We now have a team of over 40 talented individuals serving customers in over 30 countries worldwide. We're constantly expanding our product offerings and are always striving to be at the forefront of the latest industry trends. We love nothing more than seeing our clients walk out of the office, knowing they've found their solution. This marks a significant milestone for our team, and we are proud to have gained 8 certificates. ITIL V4 is the latest version of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library, which provides a framework for how organizations can deliver IT-enabled services and drive organizational success in the digital era.</p><h2 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>What is ITIL?</strong></h2><p style="margin-left:0px;">The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a framework that gives you the essential skills to run successful IT-enabled products and services. ITIL provides a holistic approach to service management, covering everything from service design and transition to operation and continual improvement.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">ITIL V4 was released in 2019, and it reflects the latest changes in technology. ITIL V4 also provides a more holistic approach to service management than previous versions of the framework. The DSS team is now equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide even better IT services to our clients.</p><h2 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>Why is ITIL Important?</strong></h2><p style="margin-left:0px;">ITIL is important because it provides a framework for how organizations can deliver IT services. <p style="margin-left:0px;">What a great way to end the year and celebrate the holidays! The team had a blast spending time together outside of work, enjoying good food and drinks and getting to know each other in a relaxed setting. It was a fantastic way to boost morale and foster camaraderie among everyone. We're already looking forward to next year's team gatherings!</p><h2 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>06.12 – Dinner and disco in Bansko</strong></h2><p style="margin-left:0px;">The team kicked off the festivities with a delicious dinner at a local restaurant, followed by some dancing at a club in Bansko. It was an excellent opportunity to get to know each other better and have some fun before the main event.</p><h2 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>07.12 – Mountain adventures - having tea &amp; rum in the tea house of “Bezbog” Hut</strong></h2><p style="margin-left:0px;">This was definitely the highlight of the trip for many of us! We hiked up to the Tea House of “Bezbog” Hut for some snacks and drinks while enjoying the stunning views of the mountains. We even got to play some fun games and do a little light-hearted competition with each other. We really bonded as a team during this activity.</p><h2 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>08.12 - Relax &amp; SPA time</strong></h2><p style="margin-left:0px;">After all the hiking and games, it was nice to relax at the SPA on our last day. We got massages, sat in the sauna, and recharged from day-to-day life's stresses. It was a great way to unwind before heading back home.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">We had an incredible time at our company’s holiday party this year! A big thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success! We look forward to another exciting year with all of you!</p>

<p style="margin-left:0px;">Какъв чудесен начин да завършим годината и да отпразнуваме празниците! Екипът се наслади на времето, прекарано заедно в Добринище, Банско, радвайки се на природата, на вкусна храна и напитки и опознавайки се в непринудена обстановка. Това беше прекрасен начин да се повиши моралът и да се насърчи приятелството между всички. Вече очакваме с нетърпение събиранията на екипа през следващата година!</p><h3 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>06.12 - Вечеря и дискотека в Банско</strong></h3><p style="margin-left:0px;">Екипът започна празника с вкусна вечеря в местен ресторант, последвана от танци в клуб в Банско. Това беше отлична възможност да се опознаем по-добре и да се забавляваме преди основното събитие на следващия ден.</p><h3 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>07.12 - Планински приключения - Изкачване до хижа "Безбог"</strong></h3><p style="margin-left:0px;">Походът в планината определено беше хайлайтът на пътуването за много от нас! Изкачихме се до чайната на хижа "Безбог", в която закусихме и пийнахме по ароматен чай с ром, а през цялото време се наслаждавахме на зашеметяващата гледка към планината. Дори успяхме да изиграем няколко забавни игри и да направим леко състезание помежду си. Всичко това наистина успя да ни сплоти като екип.</p><h3 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>08.12 - Време за релакс и СПА</strong></h3><p style="margin-left:0px;">След похода и различните игри имахме възможността да се отпуснем в СПА центъра на следващия ден. Направихме си масажи, поседяхме в сауната и се отърсихме от ежедневния стрес. Чудесен начин да се отпуснем, преди да се върнем у дома.</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">Зимният ни тиймбилдинг определено се получи повече от прекасно! Големи благодарности на всички, които помогнаха за успеха на това събитие! Очакваме с нетърпение още една вълнуваща година с всички вас!</p>

<p style="margin-left:0px;">On July 6th, the DSS team took part in the annual Legion Run - a team-oriented obstacle run with the ultimate goal of challenging your physical and mental limits and sharing some epic moments with friends and co-workers. The Legion Run is not a typical race or competition between companies but an excellent opportunity to bond and help each other overcome fear and disgust while challenging our physical capabilities. What a blast - we managed to complete the run in 1 hour and 15 minutes!</p><h2 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>The Obstacles</strong></h2><p style="margin-left:0px;">The Legion Run is a 5km run with 12 different obstacles of mud, fire, ice and barbed wire that contestants must complete. Some of the obstacles included climbing over walls, crawling through mud pits, and jumping through fire. It was dirty and challenging, but our team was totally up for it!</p><h2 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>The Finish Line</strong></h2><p style="margin-left:0px;">Crossing the finish line was a great feeling, and it was made even better by the fact that the DSS team had helped each other through the challenging moments. The whole experience was a great bonding moment for the team and will be remembered fondly by all who participated. A few scratches, bruises and mud in unexpected places and a lot of fun!</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">The DSS team had a fantastic time at the Legion Run 2019 and is already looking forward to next year's event! Thank you again to everyone who supported us. Hope to see you there!</p>

<p style="margin-left:0px;">На 6 юли екипът на DSS взе участие в ежегодната Legion Run надпревара между компании - отборно бягане с препятствия, чиято цел е да предизвика физическите и умствените граници на участниците, споделяйки епични моменти с приятели и колеги. Legion Run не е типично състезание между компании, а чудесна възможност да се сближим и да си помогнем взаимно в преодоляването на страхове или вътрешни бариери, докато предизвикваме физическите си възможности. А екипът на DSS постигна страхотен резултат - успяхме да завършим бягането за 1 час и 15 минути!</p><h3 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>Препятствията</strong></h3><p style="margin-left:0px;">Legion Run е петкилометрово трасе с 12 различни препятствия от кал, огън, лед и бодлива тел, които участниците трябва да преодолеят. Някои от препятствията включваха катерене по стени, пълзене през кални ями и прескачане на огън. Беше мръсно и трудно, но нашият отбор беше напълно подготвен!</p><h3 style="margin-left:0px;"><strong>Финалната линия</strong></h3><p style="margin-left:0px;">Пресичането на финалната линия беше страхотно усещане, допълнено от това, че участниците ни си помагаха през цялото време. Цялото преживяване определено ни сплоти и дълго ще помним постиженията на всеки един от нас. Ако трябва да обобщим - няколко драскотини, синини и кал на неочаквани места и много радост и забавление!</p><p style="margin-left:0px;">Екипът на DSS се справи страхотно на Legion Run 2019 и вече очакваме с нетърпение събитието догодина!
